In which Mama learns to watch her mouth

I received the following email while I was at work this afternoon, describing an exchange between Colin and Tiernan:

D: "Tiernan! it is time to change out of your church cloths."

TL: "Ok Dadoo."
[While I'm changing CM, TL digs through his drawer.]

TL: "I weally need to wear something wed today Dadoo."

D: "Sure, T."

[TL pulls out his red shirt with the soccer ball on the front and puts it on himself.]
Quite pleased with himself, he says: "Hey Dadoo, I did it."

D: "Um...You've got it on backwards silly."

TL: Looks down at his shirt for a second, "Shud."
[TL takes off his shirt and puts it on backwards a second time.]

D: "It's still on backwards T."

TL: "Shud."

D: "Let me help you."
[I help him put it on correctly]

TL: "Horray Dadoo! We did it."

So it Begins...

"Mama, I want some of dis," Tiernan proclaims, pulling the box of trail mix packets off the chest freezer.

"No, you can't have that now. We're saving them for our trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house."

"But I weewy want some NOW."

"Sorry, you're going to have to wait a few days."

He looks at me thoughtfully, then carries the box with him out of the kitchen, "Uhh, maybe I will ask Dadoo."
